OUR CHURCH

Bishop Kenyan K. Southers established Salt Nation Church & Ministries in April of 2007 in a small living room in Maryland. The first church location was a rented building on Patapsco Avenue in April of 2007. The congregation quickly grew and the church moved to a bigger location north of its first location in 2011.

In the spring of 2013, Bishop Southers saw that the congregation had outgrown its second location and set out to find a Larger space. The congregation then moved to its Windsor Mill location serving those in the community. At that time there were approximately a membership of 200 parishioners. Services, classes and rehearsal are held various days throughout the week to include Sunday (9:30am, 12p), Monday (7:30pm), first Friday of every month at 7pm (city wide nation prayer) and every Saturday 9:30am

Ever recognizing the need to strengthen and grow the Kingdom, Bishop Southers has moved the Church family to the inner city of Baltimore just north of Johns Hopkin’s Hospital. To be true servants we must be willing to move when God instructs and ready to fit the need of the community.

Bishop Southers never misses an opportunity to push the limits of traditional ministry. In doing so, he continued to grow and expand the boundaries until he realized there are no boundaries. Bishop Southers is an accomplished Author of two released books #IJS and #IJS2. His third release “PENETRATION” is on the way. Bishop has a desire to reach all men from all race, creed, and background so he wins souls while distributing his clothing line called “SAVNDALOS CLOTHING” (saving the lost).

In addition to the growth of the Salt Nation ministry efforts, he is also the spiritual covering over a plethora of ministries and business endeavours; leading to the implementation of the Salt Nation Covenant Movement in 2012. Currently he is covering over 40 ministries to include both traditional and in the marketplace.

Bishop Southers has excelled in higher education with a BA in Psychology, and is still in active pursuit of his masters, in order to influence the marketplace.

ABOUT OUR PASTOR

Bishop Kenyan K. Southers is becoming the face of a new generation in ministry. Chosen by God for this season, Bishop Southers has dedicated his life to carrying God’s word to the masses. With a heart of openness and nonjudgment, he founded Salt Nation International Church, to the outcast, the wretched, the lost, the looked down upon, and any soul who desires to be saved and learn the ways of the Lord.

From youth, Southers has known God, thanks to the prayer and caring spirit of his grandmother, Vanessa McLean. Raised in the fear and respect of the Lord, Southers understood the importance of being Saved, Baptized, and filled with the Holy Ghost. Growing up, Southers began to live life as most males growing up in Baltimore, MD; however, no matter what he did or where he went God was not too far away, calling him to grow ministry. After graduating from Mount St. Joseph’s College Preparatory high school in 1991, he started his journey in ministry by sitting and studying at the feet of Elder Martin Jacobs, of Christ Deliverance Church. Even though he graduated with distinguished honors earning an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice at the Baltimore City Community College of MD, he became hungry for more and began to heed the voice of God. In 1999, his obedience led him to become a minister. Pastor Southers’ passion for God's truth seemed to burn even greater that within 4 years he was ordained Elder. Eventually, Southers left Christ Deliverance Church in a quest for deeper knowledge and understanding. As an elder, he continued to proclaim God throughout the land and in 2000; he joined the New Day Fellowship. Under Pastor Bryant K. Martin’s leadership, Southers’ adherence to the word, passion for youth, and activation of the Holy Ghost power within led him to the office of Youth Pastor. During that time,

Pastor felt an urgency to learn more he completed courses at the Family Bible College of MD in 2003. Then in 2005, Pastor Martin appointed Southers to the prestigious role of Assistant Pastor. For 8 years, Southers had grown, worshiped, and served with Pastor Martin and the now Freedom Church faithfully. In 2006, at the release of his leader Pastor Southers started an all mens bible study in his home and it grew to large for him to host it at his home he then moved it to his workplace. Then after 1 year his pastor advised him to go out and look for a church because it was his season to Pastor Gods people. In 2007, God had a higher calling for Pastor Southers. Salt Nation Church & Ministries was founded in April and open to all men and women. At that moment God breathed on the ministry and it grew triple the original Men's Bible study. After 2 years of building and establishing, Pastor Southers understood that he couldn't be all that God called him to be without himself submitting to a spiritual father. At that time Pastor Southers along with his thriving growing ministry laid everything at the feet of his spiritual father,and mentor Bishop Ralph L.Dennis as part of Kingdom Fellowship Covenant Ministries. After time of serving, and submitting Bishop Ralph L Dennis identified the leadership anointing on Pastor Southers and in July 2012 was affirmed to the office of Overseer in the Lords Church.

Overseer Southers never misses an opportunity to push the limits of traditional ministry. In doing so, he continued to grow and expand the boundaries until he realized that there is no boundary so the ministry continues to grow. Currently he is the President of Salt Nation Covenant Movement that covers 40 churches, ministries, para ministries, businesses, and personal ministries. In July 2014 Overseer Southers was again elevated and reaffirm to the episcopal office of Bishop Designate in the Lords's Church. Bishop Designate Southers is now pursing his Masters degree in Psychology at Liberty University and is an author of two released books entitled "#ijs"(im just saying) and"#ijs2" . He is also completing his third book, "Penetration" not only has he located the pulse of the market place,but also understand the need for Gods word to spread everywhere so he released two leaders to open Salt Nation Church & Ministries Arizona.

WHAT WE SEE: OUR VISION There is a clarion call to Reach, Rebuild, and Revive all people. It is our vision to enlarge the Body of Christ by reforming a Nation that has been without a doubt tormented and connected to the chains of bondage set forth and implemented by the manipulating hand of the enemy.

This bondage has and is leading this Society of believers and nonbelievers in Jesus Christ to believe that they are bound without release or exit. To totally restore them from broken hearts, shattered minds, and dysfunctional lives we must implement the plan of Jesus Christ. In this, we Surrender, Recognize, and Realize that through our constant commitment/ complete consistency to God through the Power of the Holy Spirit, holding on the Precious Name and Blood of Jesus Christ which covers us, and purging ourselves of Sin through the greatest gift ever given, which is Salvation, we will be able to reach the lost and show them the way to Christ.

For the Gift of Salvation, there is a prerequisite that absolutely gives power to live in the elements that GOD has given. We will flavor the Earth with His Word, not through what we verbally articulate but through our lifestyle which empowers us in Christ. This power allows us,

The Body of Christ, to build Nations that maintain a foundational substance. In this, we will plant seeds knowing that our due season catapults us to a Life of Complete Harvest. No more Wandering, Worrying, Hoping, and Wishing, but now processing all that God has for Us.

WHAT WE DO: OUR MISSION It is our mission to carry out the “I Got Five On It” Initiative. In this effort, each VISION BUILDER will be responsible for bringing at least five people to the ministry annually. We have decided to embark upon this journey and it is our Great Commission as Disciples of Christ to lead others to Him. Our goal is not for membership but Salvation. In all that we do and say, we must portray Jesus Christ
